|4.0||Outgoing President’s speech
Ade shared she enjoyed the close collaboration of ASPA members and thanked Rebecca, Agnes and Angelina for their mentorship She likened ASPA to a big tree; humble and warm Finally she thanks members for collaboration in workshops, but suggests ASPA should assess the impact in the countries where its workshops are hosted

|7.1||14th ASPA conference
The general assembly congratulated and thanked Vrushali and her team for a the excellent organisation of the 14th ASPA meeting
|7.2||EXCO and General meetings
Rebecca suggests EXCO should be more active and to begin by meeting on the eve of every ASPA conferenceRebecca also proposes have a general meeting to be held with every congress, preferably 1-2pm.
Agnes raises the concern of general meeting coinciding with lunchtime symposiums.
The constitution does state general meeting coincides with every conference. The conferences were originally held once in two years but due to the enthusiasm of ASPA countries to host the meetings, flexibility allowed the conferences to be held yearly. Registry of Societies had allowed the general meeting to continue once in 2 yearsAgnes reminds the assembly that every time the general meeting is held, minutes must be taken. The Hon secretary must ensure minutes submitted to EXCO as soon as possibleThe Hon treasure must ensure financial statements are prepared and submitted to ROS soon after the meeting, within a monthAngelina and Suneerat agree that general meeting should be held with every conference but Erlinda suggested we first start with EXCO meeting yearly first
Members raised the need to make it easier for ASPA members to sign up. One method is through the ASPA website, members to encourage potential ASPA members to download the forms and sign up online. The present modes of payment are Cash US$55, Bank draft and telegraphic transfer US$55 plus US$20 (local bank draft). Instructions are on the website.Post-meeting:
A suggestion that EXCO explore electronic payment of membership fees directly to ASPA bank account might facilitate membership. Agnes will explore with the bank
|7.4||Rebecca suggests an ASPA education committee be formed consisting of Agnes, Felicia, Ade and Erlinda. The objective is to plan and streamline ASPA workshops|
|7.5||Suan Ling noted that there is a previous agreement that USS1000 be given to ASPA if conferences make a profit. This is not in the constitution but was discussed in the earlier general meeting. ASPA has been flexible in this
Rebecca suggestions that national paediatric anaesthesia societies affiliate with ASPA and through ASPA to WSFA. Those countries with no national paediatric societies can form specialist interest group and then link up through the “national anaesthesia society” to ASPA. Members brought up financial implications.
