Background

Welcome to the Asian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA) website. ASPA was formed in 1999 at the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore with the goal to foster the growth of safe and quality paediatric anaesthetic care in our region and assist with professional development of its members through high quality academic meetings. It was also the intention of ASPA to create a platform for interaction between anaesthesiologist’s from different Asian countries with different health care needs and capabilities. ASPA meetings have now been held in Singapore, Cebu - Philippines, New Delhi - India, Singapore, Vellore – India, Pattaya – Thailand and Ho Chi Min City – Vietnam. Apart from disseminating state of the art knowledge on current developments in paediatric anaesthesia the ASPA meetings are also a forum to share experience in providing anaesthesia to children under diverse circumstances that are unique to Asia. We welcome you to join ASPA, register for its meetings and through our website network with specialists who provide anaesthesia for children in our region and around the world.
